That’s amazing news! Congrats, that’s no small thing. Looking forward to see where this goes...

"Hi Jenni, Amy Anselmo came across a grant opportunity through the VT Community Foundation and said that it looks like it would be great for many of our projects. www.vermontcf.org/NonprofitsGrants/AvailableGrants/SparkConnectingCommunity.aspx"

Hi Lauren, thank you. I looked at this grant but it says it's not eligible for project costs but should I find a fiscal sponsor then that may change and I may eligible.

Jenni, you are both an inspiration, and reminder, about how hard it is to get your art out into the world. I too was an “artist” from 20-28 yrs old. I received many grants, much recognition, etc, etc. But, it wasn’t enough. I had to create my art in a more commercial range, to help support my two little kids, our house, our community. I 100% understand where you are right now. Advice? Keep at it. I moved into the more commercial realm, and all the hard work I did to secure grants paid off. I was able to create a slightly different version of my art form, largely due to my relentless quest to “get the money”, mostly through grants. Your project is really important, you WILL make it happen. And, the world will notice.

That's fantastic Stu! Thanks so much! So far I've applied at BCA, the Fleming Museum and I will send out an application tonight for the New City Gallery. I would greatly appreciate any kind of help! I have also found an awesome and acclaimed artist who will help me with studio rental and building, which is a tremendous relief. This helped guestimate a budget, which will be helpful for fundraising.

You’re a rockstar Jenni. I have LOTS of contacts with all our reps, particularly Bernie. Use me to push this, I’ll happily do what I can. And, let me know which galleries in B’town, I’ve got contacts there as well.

I would love to put it up anywhere in Montpelier. I have applied to be featured with Vermont Arts Council, the SPA gallery, two galleries/museums in Burlington and one in Bennington, sent a letter asking for any kind of support to the offices of VPR, Bernie Sanders, Leahy and Welsh and that's for Vermont. I think I will continue reaching out to other galleries in Vermont, but I also expanded my requests to other parts of the country. I will continue to work on sending out these letters and fund raising requests for a while.....
